Message from Rev. Edward J. Casey, Pastor
Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish
Greetings
from the Cor Mariae Council!
I’m Father
Casey, Pastor of IHM Parish and proud Chaplain of our council since
2012. It’s been a joy guiding our Knights, welcoming new
members, and involving them in parish projects that
strengthen our community.
Since the 1950s, the Knights
have been a vital part of IHM’s spiritual and communal life.
The Knights of
Columbus is open to practicing Catholic men over 18 who want to make
a difference. Our Council lives out Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and
Patriotism by organizing blood drives, Lenten Fish Fries, Bingos,
and Coats for Kids, supporting St. Vincent de Paul, and distributing
flags for Memorial Day. Our members serve as lectors, Eucharistic
ministers, and leaders in the parish, and in leadership roles for
the Council and Philadelphia Chapter of Councils.
Founded in 1882
by Father Michael J. McGivney, the Knights have grown to nearly 1.7
million members worldwide. As Pope John Paul II said, the Knights
exemplify faith, fraternity, and service. I invite you to join us,
strengthen our unity, and carry forward this legacy of living God’s
will.
Yours In Christ,
Father Casey Chaplain, Cor Mariae Council #4100 Message from Rev. Edward J. Casey, Pastor Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish
