Fatted Calf Sunday
Father Sullivan Hall Sunday, November 23rd Coffee and donuts After 9:30am Mass
Dear IHM Parishioners: As we prepare for Thanksgiving,
Jesus invites us to His Eucharistic Banquet offering His
body and blood in the sacrifice of the Mass. Let us begin
Thanksgiving week by attending the 9:30am Mass on Sunday,
November 23rd together, with family and friends, proclaiming
our faith in the one true God.
On
November 23rd we joyfully invite the IHM family to
participate in “The Preparation of the Fatted Calf”,
coinciding with the Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King
of the Universe, marking the end of the Liturgical Year.
We are heartened by recent trends showing more people,
especially the young, returning to Catholicism, drawn to its
timeless truth, and the “Fatted Calf” is a sacred moment to
welcome those returning to the sabbath celebration and to
share our Catholic faith – the one true religion. By
inviting family and friends, join us at the 9:30am Mass on
November 23rd.
The Sacrament of Reconciliation
is available on Saturdays from 4:00pm to 5:00pm in the
Church. Following the 9:30am Mass, you are welcome to join
us for coffee and donuts in Father Sullivan Hall.
Sincerely in Christ, Rev. Edward J. Casey Parish Council St. Vincent de Paul Society Cor Mariae Council, Knights of
